Our flagship event will be held in the Rediscovery Centre from 9.30am to 4.30pm. We will also launch our Charity Retail Impact Report 2022 and celebrate our Annual Awards winners. There is a choice of 5 workshops to take part in with networking spaces throughout the day. This is a free event for members and includes tea/coffee on arrival and lunch.

You can register as a delegate for the day and choose your workshops in the Members Area of this website.
 
Workshops   
You will be able to attend 2 workshops from a choice of 5. Please choose the top 3 workshops you would like to attend. We will endeavour to ensure you get your first 2 choices as we have limited space in each of the workshops. If your first 2 choices are full, then you will get your third choice. 
 
Here is the choice:
  1. Textile Upcycling Workshop: Arran Murphy, The Rediscovery Centre
    Arran is the Programme Manager for Rediscover Fashion at the Rediscovery Centre.
    She will lead a practical, hands on session on how you can repair and upcycle items in your shop to increase their value. It will be held in the Aladdin’s cave that is her workshop in the Rediscovery Centre. 
  2. Charity Retail – Reuse as a Fashion Choice: Carrie Ann Moran, Circular Fashion Ireland/Fashion Revolution
    Carrie Ann is an accomplished circular and sustainable fashion professional and she is also the Country Coordinator for Fashion Revolution.
    The workshop will provide a full insight as to why reuse is now at the forefront of sustainable living for consumers and their wardrobes. It will look at environmental and social impacts of the fashion textile sector with a brainstorm on Circular Economy and reuse opportunities for charity shops.
  3. Charity Retail – Selling Online: Sam Lynas, Haru
    Co-founder of Haru, Sam started selling second hand clothing in 2016. As they built relationships with charity shops, the idea grew into helping each charity sell their clothing and books online, ensuring they got the best price possible.
    Sam will lead an interactive workshop giving you lots of tips and tricks to getting the best out of your online selling platform.
  4. Get the most from your socials, learn from an expert with 73k followers: Fionnuala Jones
    Fionnuala is a digital and social media expert, digital journalist, podcaster and host of Relove My Space on RTE player. She joins the growing number of de-influencers who encourage their followers to make better and greener fashion choices. Her practical and interactive workshop will help you make the most of your socials with best practice and top tips plus an introduction to TikTik. Follow her on Insta and TikTok @fionnualajay
  5. Recruitment in Today’s Challenging Marketplace: Aislinn Lea, Excel Recruitment
    Aislinn is the Director of Fashion & Non Food Retail Recruitment at Excel Recruitment for many years and is a very experienced recruitment specialist. Before Joining Excel Aislinn had hands on management experience in the fashion retail industry.
    Aislinn’s workshop will help you to navigate the world of recruitment. She will use her experience to give you valuable tools in recruiting the right people for your charity in today’s very challenging marketplace.
